The recent 3 Peaks and 24 Peaks challenges undertaken by Skyline paled into insignificance with the 9 day ‘Cat A’ refurbishment of 28,000 sq ft at 85 Gray’s Inn Road, on behalf of the Legal Services Commission. A detailed daily work programme was agreed at the outset with the client and DTZ, allowing early out of hours access for removal of partitions and rewiring of lighting to the upper floors, plus a ‘pre emptive strike’ on the strip out of the basement meeting rooms. The last 9 days included the removal of all remaining partitions, tea points, air conditioning and fresh air / extract services, Comms room, repair and renewal of suspended ceilings, power and lighting modifications, plus the reprogramming of the Fire Alarm system and the removal of the generator and diesel tank. All completed with 3 hours to spare!
Skyline have recently completed the total refurbishment of 22 City Road on behalf of Ogden Properties Limited. The property had been unoccupied for almost five years and the internal finishes were ‘de rigueur’ the 1980’s. Not pretty. The entire building was stripped out and refurbished to a high level with new air conditioning, metal pan suspended ceilings with perimeter plasterboard bulkheads, LG7 lighting, new toilets, roof refurbishment, new entrance and re-modelled reception, plus DDA upgrade. Specialist asbestos and vault damp proofing works were also carried out and with the building benefiting from panoramic rear views over the HAC playing fields, several floors have already been let to discerning new tenants.
Skyline have worked successfully with Fortis Bank over the last five years and have recently completed the fit out of their new offices in Temple Meads, Bristol and re-stack of their head office in Aldermanbury, London EC2. Working closely with Fortis Facilities Management and within occupied office and trading areas, works to their prestigious City offices were completed over a period of 12 weeks
Other projects are currently being carried out on behalf of the Merrill Corporation, Kaplan Financial, Authors Licensing and Collecting Society, Campden Charities, YHA and Swedbank
Skyline have recently been re-accredited SAFEcontractor, maintaining their association with National Britannia which dates back to 2001. Skyline are also accredited by Constructionline and CHAS, underlining their high levels of Health & Safety management on their projects.
